We've streamlined our sales and management overhead to devote extensive effort toward what goes in our bags -- premium seed that delivers real value to farmers.

Field trials prove that we're in touch with the unique climate of our northern region. Proseed customers quickly discover we're right on the money with traits that area farmers find most important:  high yields, high oil content, ease of harvest, quick drydown, less trash, and resistance to this area's diseases and pests.

Based in North Dakota, Proseed is the only locally-owned company that has a sunflower breeding program.  Our roots are firmly planted in North America's premier sunflower growing area.

PROSEED SUNFLOWERS CHARACTERISTICS

R - means resistant
DPM - means Days to Physical Maturity
OIL - is based on 10 moisture and plants reaching maturity

DMR means Downy Mildew Resistant

BRAND DESCRIPTIONS

PRO 141 -- This hybrid features extremely fast drydown, combined with tough performance.  A real emperor of the north, 141 has consistently yielded well and maintained good oil percentages under extreme conditions. [back to table]

PRO 9612 -- A full season high yielding flower. Proseed 9612 ranked consistently high in 1999 SDSU performance trials. This flower is a "Bin Buster" (refer to SDSU and NDSU sunflower performance trials or ask a Proseed representative).[back to table]

CL 55-15 -- This new medium-maturity is our first to be tolerant to Imidazolinone Herbicides and this qualifies for use with the Clearfield Production System. This Nusun Hybrid has excellent standability and has yielded well in preliminary trials.[back to table]

MONO 9441 -- The newest member of our Nusun Sunflower line-up. 9441 will be one of the earliest and fastest drydown Nusun Hybrids available. Preliminary yield and oleic levels look very good. Very comparable to Proseed 9215. [back to table]

E-85 DMR -- Early High Oleic Sunflower that is resistant to all known races of downy mildew. E-85 is a High Octane Producer in both yield and oleic content.[back to table

E-3 DMR-- Nusun Sunflower that has very high oleic content which might even make high oleic. Resistant to some races of downy mildew. [back to table]

E-4 DMR -- Nusun Sunflower that has very high oleic content which might even make high oleic. Resistant to all known races of downy mildew. [back to table]
